During my quick GBBC ,after work,my poor wet feet, i trudged down to the lakeshore along the Peninsula Meadow. Noting a different duck that had me quite intrigued, i got closer ,by ladder 18.It turns out,resting on the ice edge,being a drake EURASIAN WIGEON very near the shore..
It been a good 25 years since the last one here(that I think).....Tuesday i will check the records...
PS. Unfortunately, i was not able to tweet the very rare sighting due to my phone dying.Yes my phone died..i will have to get a new one..drat....nothing lasts...
