From additional details from the original finder Neal Frumkin, the rail seen this morning at 11:30 in the phragmite marsh across from the under restoration Well house is thought to be a Clapper Rail based on its size and vocalizing.
I went there after work as did Karen and Kristin but we were unsuccessful.However later Dennis along with Joshua and Rachel tried but only a very fleeting glimpse seen by Rachel.However a vocalization was heard by Rachel and based on its description leans toward Clapper Rail.
Worth a stake out.. Starsky and Hutch anyone ?
