Nice day for a walk in the Park. The large flock of Canada Geese is the big thing around the ballfields, one of them has a neck band (orange, with the Y3T4 code in white)(see photo attached). A lonely Merlin was spotted perched near the Lower Pool. The lake was semi frozen, and mostly Ring-billed Gulls, and the regular waterfowl. The feeder did not have any sps worth mentioning, the same folks feeding there.
On my way back, a large dark bird flew over the Nethermead, first I though it was a Hawk, but it landed on a tall tree in the Ravine, and started to vocalize: 1 Common Raven (my first for the Park). I took some pictures (see them below) to probe its presence in the park. The sighting was ±12:25 pm.
