Dear Peter Dorosh,

Today marks the official 150th anniversary of Prospect Park! On October 19,1867, Brooklyn's Backyard opened to the community for the first time with a special celebration, and tonight, the Empire State Building will light up green in recognition of this milestone. As we celebrate Prospect Park's rich history, we're asking you to shape its future by joining us at a community workshop aimed at reimagining the Prospect Park Rose Garden.

Throughout the summer, Prospect Park Alliance partnered with Hester Street to engage community members across Brooklyn in reimagining Prospect Park's Rose Garden—a little known area in the northeast corner of the Park. We reached almost 2,000 people and gathered over 2,340 ideas through engagement events in and around the Park, and in various Brooklyn neighborhoods. Now we want to share all the great feedback and ideas we received to narrow down the options.

Join us at an upcoming event to learn more about the engagement and design process, hear a report back of all the input we have collected, and narrow down options for the future of the Rose Garden.

We are offering several opportunities to hear your feedback. Please drop by on the day that works best for you, during any of the times listed below.

Your input will directly impact the redesign and programming of the future Rose Garden. Bring your family and friends and make the Rose Garden a place that reflects your community! Reimagine Prospect Park is made possible through the generous support of The Altman Foundation.
