- Comments: "Juvenile/first winter bird along wellhouse drive across from MD monument (near the water fountain). Yellow flanks, dull yellow spectacles, all dark eye, wingbars. Yellow/greenish back with bluish head. Was making a distress sounding call at a group of 5 or 6 Ruby-crowned Kinglets. Eventually the Kinglets convinced it to leave.  "

- Comments: "bird found yesterday by Will P.  first seen by me at around 4:00 perched low in the grasses on the native garden side of the grass area.  refound about an hour or so later.  again bird perching low on the grass stalks and unable to get a pic. but got clear view of  large, light colored bill, light throat, light chest with fine streaking, very slight wash of yellow on mallar.  definitely not a house sparrow."
