Dear all,

Happy New Year!

I'm pleased to report that the Ridgewood Reservoir was officially designated a wetland on 10/24/2018. The Queens Parks Commissioner received a notification letter on 12/21/2018 from the DEC. We obtained a copy of this just today from her office:

Congratulations to us and everyone who helped along the way since way back in 2007. The wetlands designation request was actually submitted some time in 2010 which means it only took 8 years for them to get serious about it.
