Fwd: Volunteers needed for Butterfly Meadow Crew

Now I take the summer off, relax, and I know that at the end of July we're gonna start another season.

Subject: Volunteers needed for Butterfly Meadow Crew

Dear Bird Club Member,

As some of you may know, in association with the Prospect Park Landscape Management department, a small group of dedicated BBC members have worked for several years maintaining Butterfly Meadow and other areas on Lookout Hill. Its grown from a weed-infested plot to a wonderful bird and butterfly habitat.

We could use two or three more volunteers for the upcoming season.  We meet every other Wednesday morning, from 9 a.m. until 11:30, from Sept-November, and then again from around April-June. The work consists of weeding, planting, fixing fences, etc. and is not usually too strenuous.

We plan to start the fall season on Wednesday, September 11th so if you are interested in helping out, please contact me asap by replying to this email. You will need to be registered with the Prospect Park Volunteer Corps, if you are not already (this can be done online.)

Thank you!
Janet Zinn
Volunteer Leader, Lookout Hill Corps.
