At this location the highlight today was a 1st cycle ICELAND GULL. Found again --previously by Tom Preston dec5th--Shane Blodgett refound today's bird.
A terrific location for winter gulls and sea ducks the Army Terminal Pier 4 is assessed via 1st Ave to the right (there's a commuter ferry sign) of the Sunset Park Army Terminal entrance.
Combine your day trip with Bush Terminal Pier Park ( weekday parking a problem now as surrounding employees " steal" the Park's parking spots) and OwlsHead park and 65th St pier are excellent winter bird sites.
