Thanks to Kathy Toomey' s tweet I was able to see my first sitting eagle in Prospect.
I was working the ice removal at the 11th Ave entrance when I received Kathy's tweet.Of course i have to see it as I've never seen one on the "ground". Looking for my bins I realized I forgot them having to dry them home from yesterday's wet day. Fortunately I keep a cheap pair in my toro vehicle.
I parked my car along the west lake drive and quickly hurried over to the lakeshore and took a look. Sure enough for a bird that big it's an easy spot in the lake middle. Later I went to see Kathy on the Hammerhead and congratulated her as well as expressed appreciate her tweet.
There in a closer view i took a bin photo. Pretty awesome!
