Happy 88th Birthday to a Brooklyn birding legend Ron Bourque .

Ron was my first club trip leader back in the late 1970s  ( to High Tor state park) and a famed conservationist with Floyd Bennett field. He was a reknown Brooklyn bird club member serving with his wife then Jean as the Clapper Rail newsletter editor.

You can find him as a Marine Park garden volunteer occasionally.

I wished him well..
