Wildflower planting event at JBWR July 7 10 am

Interested in planting wildflowers in the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge? Join us and the American Littoral Society - Northeast Chapter in front of the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center at 10am on Thursday, July 7. The planting will take place on sandy soil, and should be fairly dry.

What to wear:
Bring a hat, water, closed toed shoes, and, if comfortable, long pants. It gets a little warm on the planting spot, so dress for sun and sand.
We will provide trowels, gloves, and a water jug, so we encourage you to bring a refillable bottle. Rules of the refuge for any personal trash is carry in carry out!
