As the month wounds down, there's a hope for a few good ones. Face it-- it's depressing for some birders seeing migration at its end . Today, there are a few stragglers that still catch the eye ( or worth hearing).

And one such spot for good birds happened to be Greenwood Cemetery's Dell water. Two great birds including one really good one appeared : Grasshopper Sparrow.The Sparrow was cooperative feeding at the parking spot edges of the south end of Dell water.Its a really cool handsome bird to behold. The other good bird was a female Mourning Warbler inside the Dell water area, seen first in shrubs at the northwest end but encroaching the south end as time went by.
Flyovers are interesting if you count a Greater Yellow legs Sandpiper over the Battle Hill hawk watch site.
Meanwhile over at Prospect, Flycatchers continue to intrigue. At the Well Drive 3Shipcontainers, an Olive Sided Flycatcher perched on the usual dead snag above while an Acadian FC called loudly from the slope above the 3 Ship towards the Switchback trail .
