Yellow-breasted Chat (Icteria virens) (1)

- Comments: "Flagged for rare/date: Lower end of the switchback trail, where Seth B reported it yesterday. I was there picking through warblers feeding up in the mulberry when I noticed it pop out just downhill from me, at which point it just kinda … perched there, unusually cooperatively for a chat on migration. Indeed it was there for long enough that I was able to just use my iPhone to take a little video of my new friend, which I will now share for your edification and enjoyment. Larger than a warbler, with bright yellow breast, neatly demarcated white belly beginning halfway down, olive back, heavy bill (really more like an oriole, to which they’re more closely related), big white spectacles."
