Subject: If You Love the CBC. . .
The 114 th Christmas Bird Count
Dear CBC Compiler,
Thanks to you ........ there has never been a larger, more passionate or diverse community of citizen scientists working under Audubon's umbrella. Last holiday season bird watchers came out in record numbers to count birds to participate in Audubon's Christmas Bird Count - more than 70,000 people joined 2,369 count circles to take part in what may be the longest running animal census on the planet.
We hope you'll help keep the Christmas Bird Count alive and well by encouraging support from this year's participants. Below is a link to a printable letter that we hope you will share with those in your count circle. You can also just forward this email to those people that care about the Christmas Bird Count.
The Christmas Bird Count relies 100% on donations to manage the historic database and to fund the technology to make that vital and historic data available to researchers. And this year we are making it easy to give.
Just print out this donation form, http://birds.audubon.org/documents/114th-cbc-printable-donation-form and send it with a check to the address indicated on the form.
Or, go online and submit your credit card donation by using our secure form at www.audubon.org/supportcbc
We hope you will help us reach the broadest possible audience and encourage donations to help keep this important work alive and make sure that the CBC will continue to inform ornithologists and conservation biologists about how the birds of the Americas are faring today - and far into the future.
Thanks again for your passion and dedication.
