Subject: early warblers
Hi Peter-
Vin and I took advantage of a cooler morning and yesterdays cold front to walk the park. Highlights were Canada Warbler at Peninsula just after Pink beach, and Blue-Winged Warbler in the stream area of the Ravine along with Yellow Warblers and Redstarts (Yellow). Also a Wood Thrush in the Lullwater. Absent were the Waterthrushs previous present on the Peninsula and at the Pools. Also 4 young male Woodducks at Pools and Spotted Sandpiper at the Island opposite Peninsula arbor along with a well hidden Great Blue Heron. Otherwise usual summer birds.
