This stifling suffocating and miserable heat wave should break by midweek with predicted northwestern to North winds Wednesday into Thursday. This wind shift potentially brings forth migrating birds, perhaps a good wave about this time last year kicked up a flurry of warblers. See the link and the graph at the bottom of the ten day forecast.
For all of us heat wave weary birders, it can't start sooner..;-)
It appears though that a RED BREASTED NUTHATCH ( <~~ BirdTrax) didn't even wanted to wait, reported in Greenwood Cemetery this morning
