Hi Peter,
What a difference a week makes! Today's walk was so birdy (in spots) that Ed Crowne had time to see us, say hello, go swimming and come back thru the park and remark that we had barely moved at all.
Highlights included a male and female Indigo Bunting by the dirt pile, the world's blandest Chestnut-sided (thankfully we had all studied The Warbler Guide's undertail views!), a drop in green-wing teal, and opportunities to study all three of the warbler species w/ yellow-rumps.
We went for over 7 hours, (Lenny had to phone home for an Alternate Side car move) and we all left the park begrudgingly due to fatigue and other commitments.
Rob will be covering for me next week (final walk). It has been a great Fall with a dedicated group of regulars who were a joy to bird with. See you all in the Spring!
Thanks to Lenny for doing the list again this week.
Best,
B.
