Virginia Rail again !

Yep as I was saying about that section of phragmites marsh across from the Wellhouse,    Joshua believes its a second bird...more to come if the rail is seen in better light...  -- Kingboider

Virginia Rail (Rallus limicola) (1)
- Reported Oct 20, 2016 06:55 by Joshua Malbin
- Prospect Park, Kings, New York
- Map: http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&t=p&z=13&q=40.6602841,-73.9689534&ll=40.6602841,-73.9689534
- Checklist: http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist/S32122981
- Comments: "Hiding deep in the phragmites opposite Wellhouse. Reported as a small rail yesterday by Kathy Toomey. Small size and dark brown coloration rule out Clapper and King Rails. Long curved bill rules out Sora and rarer small rails. Unable to get a photo through the reeds. Uncommon and somewhat late, I think."
