Dear Member,

We invite you to attend our next meeting on Tuesday, October 18th, 7:00 P.M.

"Saving Jamaica Bay"

Presenter: Daniel Hendricks

Location: Brooklyn Public Library Central Branch at Grand Army Plaza

Saving Jamaica Bay is a documentary that focuses on the Broad Channel community's decades-long fight to clean up a notorious environmental and mob dumping ground, to save and restore barrier reefs and to preserve a nature sanctuary. It is now a world-renowned wildlife sanctuary and important way station for migratory birds. The film will be presented by Daniel Hendricks, the writer and producer, and followed by a discussion and update on the post Hurricane Sandy restoration project.
