some good sparrows come in

Base on reports from birders in the field and a post on ebird, a few good sparrows were in Prospect today.

From the BBC WALK, Lake edge sparrows appeared. At the covered phragmite edge along Weill Drive, A WHITE CROWNED SPARROW was reported. On the other side of Prospect Lake, in the "hammerhead" peninsula--the land mass between West and Three Sisters Islands--LINCOLN SPARROW was observed in open territory.

A report on the rare Ebird alert ( left side bar) the Rink green roof yielded a good sparrow in fact rare after yesterday's White crowned sparrow. Peter Paul reports CLAY COLORED SPARROW. Hopefully the good season is here for the famed green roof.
