Dear Peter, Twice a year, billions of American birds lift up and migrate to and from their breeding and wintering homes. But these days, they find fewer rest stops and places to catch a bite along the way. Falling numbers of birds tell the story: Migratory birds are in trouble. We are already working to secure safe habitats for forest, grassland, and coastal birds.
