This afternoon an observer from the Staten Island Ferry reported seeing an adult BROWN BOOBY flying east towards Brooklyn in the general area of Bush Terminal park..
If confirmed,its a mega rarity. Staking out Bay ridge pier towards Red hook might be the best strategy.. Good luck
