- Reported Dec 06, 2021 08:15 by Linda Ewing
- Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn, Kings, New York

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S98550637
- Comments: "Found yesterday, refound this morning (not by me) not far from yesterday's spot, after an hours-long search by multiple birders. Sparrow with strongly striped crown, warm olive face, black malar stripes & ear spot, gorgeously scaled pattern on back, buffy tinge on flanks/vent, large sloping gray bill. Looking worse for wear compared to yesterday's pix, w a raggedy black patch on breast; not clear if just damp/dirty or if feathers had been torn out. Uncharacteristic behavior, feeding in asphalt cracks alongside road & barely budging even when vehicles passed."
