Birdathon teams profiles

From Brooklyn bird club Facebook post

Our first batch of teams is already in training for saturday's IMBD birdathon in support of The Green-wood Cemetery's planting of a bird-friendly native meadow.  register by tomorrow to join in the fun!

A Bit Wobbly Wandering Warblers (Janet Zinn,Alan Baratz,Robert Bate,Tracy Meade,Kathy Toomey, Kathy Willens)
Once more into the breach - these kind souls, will be scouring the hills, dales and in between zones in Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery this holiest day for dedicated birders, this ornithological day of obligation, in search of all manner of avian wildlife with the convoluted aim of securing funding for a planted natural habitat in Greenwood Cemetery to surreptitiously honor our departed friend and long time Brooklyn birder, Janet Schumacher.  We plan to be preeminent in our age group - we won't be starting till all have had their coffee and crumpets.

Northern Paralyzed  (Radka Osickova, Michele, Jeremy Nadel, Michael Sand, Nick Dawson)
This group plans to get stuck in one spot, awestruck with a multitude of birds, in which serendipity hits the sweet spotted.

Fledge Allegiance  (Andrew Land, Heidi Cleven, Freyja Land, Thea Land)
Fledge Allegiance to the Brag. And, that's what we intend to do. Brag about all the birds we see.  Now that our whole family is in the double digits age-wise we are confident we will break last year's tally of 67.  68 or bust!
Andrew and Heidi round out the flock with daughters Freyja (12), and Thea (10).

Anna's Humming Birders
Katie, Mike, and Anna are recruiting all the participants of the 'Intro to Birdwatching' walk to our birdathon team. We'll teach vital skills like the difference between chip calls and a squeaky stroller wheel or how to distinguish mourning doves from a tired baby. With insights like that, it's no surprise that the walk has grown quite popular, so this year, we're setting a lofty goal to see more birds than birders.

Timber Doodlers have a Posse
the Timberdoodlers have expanded their membership to all participants on this Saturday's spring migration walk. we will not leave the pk until we see 100 species.  Accepting all grants for the bird friendly plants
