Monday gems

Sporadic sightings in Prospect led to some good birds. From what I heard without looking at the checklist, here's a few.

A top bird now that mid may peaks for Empidonaxes was an Acadian fly catcher. First reported near Falkill Falls, it moved down slope the path towards Center drive. Here it was heard calling within the deep recesses of the woods.

In the Vale of Cashmere, a Yellow billed cuckoo showed up. But I think the more interesting bird in the Vale should be an Eastern Bluebird. A late appearance into deeper spring raises the possibility of a breeding bird?

Bay breasted Warblers are handsome birds ( and I love to find one) . Two reports came out with this species- one at Terrace Bridge and the other at Hammerhead southwest shore.
