ADVANCE NOTICE: The National Park Service (NPS) at Gateway National Recreation Area (GATE) will announce a long-awaited federal job opening for a Natural Resource Program Manager. The job will be posted online at:

Please pass this along – and let's try to get "one of our own" (a birder, a known bird-friendly environmentalist) in there! That will be very helpful.
Job opening date: Monday, Feb 12, 2024 – job position will appear online
Job closing date: Monday, Feb 26, 2024 – job application window closes
So, we will have to wait until Monday to see the posting and relevant position info details, but I wanted to get the news out before the weekend, so everyone can mull it over - as the job window is only open 2 weeks.
GATE includes 3 units: Jamaica Bay, Staten Island, Sandy Hook
