- Comments: "Heard it sing its explosive song 4x(w long intervals of silence) in the vicinity of Rick's Place. No recording obtained, was distracted by the inordinate # of off-leash dogs tearing through the underbrush. Nice to have it (them?) back (the bird, not the dogs)."

- Comments: "One of several in the park this morning, this one in the Butterfly Meadow. Silent but perched uncharacteristically visibly when I arrived: yellow below, gray head, darker bib. Disappeared into the grasses and stayed silent for a long time, doing a circuit that took it back to base of original tree. Stayed in deep cover, but started singing persistently. Recording to be added."
