- Comments: "Awesome find by MCHL that was even less cooperative than others I have seen. Lots of people on the scene trying to locate this one. I spent a good hour in front of basically three adjacent trees and had nothing to report except for a brief darting silhouette. My approach in these unpleasant situations is to walk away and take a breather. I went over and had my fill of the Saltmarsh Sparrow and then walked slowly back to the scene. The near crowd that had been there when I left had dissipated, but I had the good luck to find Jonny with his long lens focussed on the bird. We got great looks in the lower branches of two different trees before the bird scooted down into dense high grass made itself invisible. The lateness of the hour made for long exposures and blurry pics, but they aren't my worst."
