- Comments: "Wasn't sure what it was as it flew away from me towards Manhattan skyline but, I noticed as I snapped photos, that it had a white tail and scattered every bird at the pier. I assumed it must be a bald eagle but I wanted to take a closer look at my pics before making determination and I was correct. It was a very large dark-bodied raptor with a white tail. Will post the one "decent" shot I got..."
