rare sightings

A brief note regarding two rare sightings in Prospect Park

First the VIRGINIA RAIL continues its welcomed streak in Prospect, as noted the eight consecutive day in the same marshy patch along Wellhouse Drive. Opposite the three green shipping containers, I'm told the Virginia Rail is cooperative but this opportunity presents it best in the early morning. I'm not sure if at daybreak but within the two hours of sunrise. The spot is at Prospect Lake's northwest shore.

Secondly a report from Tom Stephenson who led the BBC walk today , mentioned MARSH WREN. Rafael Campos found the afternoon rare wren at the Vale of Cashmere;likely in the pool.
