Virginia Rail reappears

Much to the delight of the Prospect Tuesday BBC walk group, the VIRGINIA RAIL reappears.

After a day absence, the small rail made its re-appearance at its usual spot, the phragmite marsh( with black plastic) exactly opposite the triple green shipping containers on Wellhouse Drive.

Also of interest, 3 RUDDY DUCKS on the lake foretells soon to arrive winter crowd even though Autumn begins tomorrow.

And for the "Turtlephiles", a rare EASTERN BOX TURTLE fpund by the bird group is a great find in Prospect. (though the latest word that where is was seen might mean its a released specimen . Usually these turtles are found in upland areas, a truly terrestrial turtle)
