- Comments: "Couldn't see much of him at the Upper Pool, buried in the lily pads, but his yellow legs, russet chest, and a glimpse of his orange bill (plus the few photographs the dozen other birders also watching managed to grab) were unmistakeable."

- Comments: "Brief but good looks at small mustard yellowish heron with yellow bill and dark back and cap in the upper pool. Bird was perched on low branch and dropped into lilies and remained hidden. Bird was smaller than a green heron that was near by."
