When I heard birders converged on this Kentuckyu bird, I hoped no one was less 6 feet. 😬 Not for me to risk catching the microscopic bug and getting asymptomatic . I'm offing prospect spring till next fall hopefully..with family to think about it's not worth the risk There's too many people in the park. My last visit was mid February. Besides,I can't avoid running into birders and I can't lip-read masked folks ( unless it's the Lone Ranger )
In the same area along the dirt track to Lookouts summit,a Black billed cuckoo was observed by Ryan G later.
On the Lake,a rare Cliff Swallow swooped around as reported by Kathy T.
Late Louisiana Waterthrush,Pine Warbler and Winter wren were reported.
A check of Ebird alerts,I read that a Yellow breasted Chat was spotted on the Butterfly Meadow fence.
The Chat meanwhile continues at Greenwood Cemetery Deellwater/ Crescent water areas.
Bald Eagles were spotted over Greenwood and Lefferts Garden east side of Prospect. Perhaps it was the same bird as I'm not bothering to look at the reports timeline.
In Fort Greene Park , Red headed Woodpecker appeared there.
Check the checklists as I've been posting the links. Or simply enter " prospect Park Ebird hotspot" in Google search. This can be done with any green space as long as Ebird hotspot follows in the search field..
STAY SAFE..>> 6 apart.. and masks. 😷
