- Comments: "Presumptive, as only seen some 100 yards overhead above the Ikea parking lot. White-winged gull overall sandy/ivory colored, palest at the flight feathers. Tips of wings without markings. Impression of size smaller than Herring Gull and more round-bodied, broad-winged and chunky than much more angular and buoyant Ring-billed. Particularly noted impression that wings seemed short and bird rather barrel chested; possibly the former simply an observational effect of the lack of any markings at the wingtips. Only plausible confusion would be with Glaucous Gull, but this bird did not seem in any way sufficiently massive. Nonetheless this identification is based largely on impression of size, which can certainly be difficult to judge on a solitary flying individual."
