- Comments: "Tail feathers look pale. Cheek is streaky and dark. Post Ocular line is brown rather than black.  Yellow throat extends a bit into malars. Also basing ID on overwhleming consensus of birding community that were also observing this bird on Monday, 2.27.23."

- Comments: "Originally listed as Eastern, because what else would it be? I had only a brief look in flight before it disappeared into grass along shoreline. Josh M got a better look + photo, and flagged it as a possible Western. It's my understanding that subsequent photos have supported that ID."
