I was tending to my office desktop filling out the work sheet mid-afternoon when my coworker Oliver Martinez comes over to me to show a bird in his hand. I looked at it and after 5 seconds scrutiny, I had to say "holy crap!". 😆
The bird in Oliver's hand turned out to be a first winter Connecticut Warbler. Apparently it was in a stunned phase after hearing from Oliver the bird hit a parks truck windshield at the 9th Street garage. He picked it up wisely and bought it to our Picnic House office trailers.
After observing it i instructed Oliver to set the bird down in habitat behind our trailer . Hopefully it will shake off its accidental impact stupor and fly on. Fingers crossed .
Of all the birds,it turns out to be a rarity.
