Orange-crowned Warbler Greenpoint

Orange-crowned Warbler (Leiothlypis celata) (1)
- Reported Sep 13, 2024 15:08 by Joseph Trezza
- McGolrick Park, Kings, New York

- Comments: "Like a Tennessee but olive all the way through to brightish undertail coverts. Drab bird overall, faint streaking down underside, sharp bill and dark eye stripe diagnostic. A surprise. They were all over the city last winter but this bird is early. Similar to imm/female black-throated blue that was hanging around same general area and seen by many today, but without pale facial marks and white on primaries."

Clever man is a chicken; it can fly, but a little. Genius, on the other hand, is a migratory bird; it can fly at high altitudes until He disappears on the horizon!
