Volunteers needed! Sunday, September 22nd (10am-1pm). We're planting over 300 trees, shrubs, and wildflowers at the new East Arverne Nature Preserve located at Beach 44th street and Rockaway Beach Blvd. in Rockaway. I have gloves, tools, water, and snacks for you. It will help beautify and enhance wildlife habitat at the lovely 35-acre coastal preserve. There is a visitor center, parking spaces, bathrooms on site and it's very near the Beach 44th street station on the A train.
