Hi Peter,

Well, today was a crazy day...we started out with one of the quietest couple of hours I've ever experienced in the park..I thought our final count might be somewhere between 5 and 7 species...

But then we hit a magic tree at the base of Lookout and things began to look up.
Rob J was touting his great tree in Greenwood with 10 species of warblers...well, our tree went to 11....

Most of the action was in the southern sections of the park, apart from a few "hot" areas.

We eventually had 64 species including 17 species of warblers. Highlights included Common Raven, American Kestrel (thanks to Nina Bai's sharp eyes), at least 3 Bay-breasted Warblers, a cooperative ADM Chestnut-sided Warbler, Nashville Warbler, both kinglets, 5 species of woodpecker and Toren's Garganey (the escapee...)

Best regards,
Tom
