Michelle Dregers Farewell ( from her Facebook page) : Yesterday, was my last bird tour at Prospect Park. I have lead a weekly walk for 16 years. I have met many amazing people. I have made many endearing friends. I’ve lead about 1000 tours. I’ve seen 240 different kind of birds in the park. I participated in 48 citizen science projects. I have introduced thousands of people to the bird life in the park. I am thankful to have been tutored by many astute members of the Brooklyn Bird Club, the NYC Audubon, and Cornell Labs online courses. I have had teams of regulars over the years that have inspired me to get up and get out to bird. I will miss birding with you every week. Thank you for all your well wishes.
