The stiff north wind ;Prospect Park

Still plagued by a stiff north wind that  is keeping at bay any new migrant numbers, we have to contend with whats here or a few hardy birds that did come thru.

Three BLUE-WINGED TEAL remain of the six yesterday, the rare duck at the shoreline of the Lullwater cove, best seen from the Rustic Arbor. I was lucky they stayed overnight after yesterday's attempt. Th SNOW GOOSE also stayed overnight, seen at West Island. Also staying very generously  for at least a week, the WORM EATING WARBLER at Lower /Upper Pool back path as attested by the Brooklyn Bird Club Thursday walk .

New birds were reported BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER (Ed Crowne) , BLACK&WHITE WARBLER and 7 SAVANNAH SPARROWS along the shore Lakeside Rink towards the south side ( Sean Sime), NORTHERN PARULA WARBLER & CHIPPING SPARROW also noted.

More later...this is a lunchtime report.
