Don Riepe of American Littoral Society reported that Operation Milkweed to restore Milkweed flowers ( destroyed by Hurricane Sandy ) for Monarch Butterflies on the Jamaica Bay Island ( refuge)  raised so far $2565.00 ( $1000 past the objective money amount.)  A great job to the generosity of concerned folks on this Earth Day.
