Subject: Fwd: eBird Report - Prospect Park, May 24, 2014

Hi All,

I spent some of this evening getting rained on & some of it checking out Lookout Hill, which was pretty active. Notable was the female Blue Grosbeak in Arlene's Pines, then later a male Mourning Warbler dinking around smack in the middle of the Butterfly Meadow until the Grosbeak chased it off. 3 Bay-breasted Warblers were seen simultaneously over the Switchback Trail and later 4 Blackburnian simultaneously over the northern end of the hill (a separate lone female was seen over the Butterfly Meadow). I had a few issues sorting out the numerous Empids -- lots of backlight -- a probable Yellow-bellied was briefly seen on the lower northwest slope of the hill, opposite the gate to the Quaker Cemetery.

Cheers!

Adam
