Rusty haunt

Image result for clip art rusty blackbirdsThree RUSTY BLACKBIRDS together decided to make the Lily Pool their haunt.

The trio of these Rusties were excellently seen well from Lily Pool's observation platform at the pond's back, the blackbirds scouring the mudflat from there towards the back opposite shore of the little island. Two of the birds showed tinge of its namesake color, one bird almost complete rusty brown. First seen in the morning by Charles Tang  followed by Rob Bate, I saw them again at lunchtime. Lily Pool is north of the Boathouse, its water flowing out the Binnen Falls.

Yesterday snuggled in the leaf cover near the closed off stairs below Nethermead Bridge, an AMERICAN WOODCOCK was found. You can see the photo sent by Charles Tang who discovered it in my previous post. With its camouflaged plumage, it's a wonder the woodcock was even found among the similar color leaves.
