Big surprise at GWC Dellwater

In one of the earliest arrivals and maybe a record for the date, a CONNECTICUT WARBLER made an appearance in Greenwood Cemetery's Dellwater.

Typically Connecticuts come in the first week September.

Ryan Mandlebau tweeted out the sighting showing the bird with the prominent eyering. See the Ebird report below from Michelle Talich and Ryan.

- Comments: "Uncommon, difficult to detect migrant and maybe a little early. Thick, yellowish warbler with full eye ring, robust legs, and very long UTCs giving it a short-tailed, diapery kinda look. Gave us a few ovenbird-style struts to clinch the ID"
