- Comments: "Flying over the East River side of Manhattan, initially being harasses by a lankier, thinner winged kestrel, before the Merlin used its more compact build and broader based wings to power away over southern Manhattan. No plumage details seen except that it was overall darker than the kestrel. Shape and flight style were diagnostic."
