- Comments: "Updating to common after photo review of clearer break in neck and white gape. I think this is an immature and just barely early to be considered rare or unreported. In the lake this morning. Flew off around 8:30am headed west. Photos in flight. Molting male. Dark head, slicked back crest, white spot on lower malar cheek region, white patches on secondaries blending into upper coverts, white belly, black/brown neck spotted with white, gray fanned tail."
