- Prospect Park--Vale of Cashmere, Kings, New York

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S279525522
- Comments: "First year bird, i.e., pretty drab. Immediately caught my eye when it dropped in to bathe, but initial instinct was immature mourning due to slightly broken eye ring, though the faint brown-ish hood was throwing me off. Thanks to folks on discord who helped with the Connecticut id - apparently young birds can have an eye ring that's broken in the back. Also shows long primary projection. Both new id points for me! Unfortunately no undertail covert shots, and didn't get to see it walk, as it dropped in, bathed, and flew out."

"I hope I can be the autumn leaf, who looked at the sky and lived. And when it was time to leave, gracefully it knew life was a gift." — Dodinsky
