I happened to take a quick glance at the Lake after Lookout Hill's observations where I picked up 4 more new Warbler species to back up my noontime 8 .Despite not seeing anything by naked eye the wide lake, but deciding to scan quickly with the bins ; immediately I noted a small tern way out on Prospect Lake, flying circles over the red ball buoy used for anchoring the electric boat. The tern had a silvery gray back and though I did not noted right away, black markings at the shoulders and a dark spot behind the eye. Not believing my amazing luck this past week, a second great bird with today's BLACK TERN , flying all around above the red buoy ball. For an hour and a half the tern was here, even after several twitter tweets, only Rob Jett came by and enjoyed the rare tern spectacle with me before we saw it fly out into the setting sun at 638 pm.

Hi Peter and Rob,
Thanks for a great walk Rob. It really feels like migration is here when we get two walks a week!
Here is list from today. Rob has great photos of the nighthawk perched in tree. I did not include the Bluewing and MOWA seen only by Dennis and me before group arrived.
