I was told that the Peninsula was the best spot. In a way, given the south warm winds of late these past few days, I am not surprised. Areas around the lake, particularly the Peninsula act like a migrant trap. 14 species warblers were reported from BBC eyes, a bulk of them on the Peninsula. In Steve's BBC walk, some included BAY-BREASTED, PINE , WILSONs & BLACKPOLL WARBLERS among the decent species, which are great birds to see on any given day.Its the fun part of walks, and for beginners tough birds to identify but with the help of experts are able to tick them off.
So, warblers, shout some noise !
( and a sign that fall is coming with Equinoix tomorrow, the season's first WHITE-THROATED SPARROWS were seen. I saw one in Butterfly Meadow; the other in the phrag swamp by West Island.)
